Why we recommend this
Hollow braided cord has a woven outer sheath rather than twisted fibers. The result is a cord that is much stronger than twisted varieties, never frays at the ends, and holds up to outdoor humidity and weather.
The trade-off: braided cord cannot be combed out into fringe. The woven sheath is too tight to release individual fibers. So this is not the cord for fluffy wall hangings.
Where braided cord shines: outdoor plant hangers, heavy-duty hammocks, curtain tiebacks, modern minimalist designs that intentionally avoid fringe, and any project where strength matters more than texture.
